God, Father
From “nothing” arises… nothing. There must be “something.”
Pure matter? Regardless of how much time we give it… matter is incapable of generating spiritual life: a thought, a smile, a tear, a song, a home run, a kiss… All those things are not caused by “something,” but by “someone.”
We call that “someone” capable of setting life into motion “God.”
If after creating us he had forgotten about us, we could forget about Him. But…
“Can a woman forget her sucking child,
that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” (Isaiah 49:15)
Our Creator is a good father who, if he loses his children, attempts to win them back. He invites us to return to Him in a thousand ways: verbally, in writing, in person or through messengers… he begs us time and again… but never forces us.
We can ignore or love our Father.
Today and forever. It’s only fair to love Him.
